But when the company grew quickly, he had less and less time to be with family or to spend on his passions outside work. He started to resent his business, and knew that if it was going to survive, he needed help. When I started Creative Concrete in 2004, I’d been working in the construction industry for a while. I knew how to do the work well, and I balanced my construction job with competitive kickboxing and time with my family. But I wanted to offer a better experience for employees and customers, so starting a business of my own seemed like a great choice.
